
Delicious summery “Greek salad with smoked chicken“
This delicious, fresh summer recipe is perfect for this time of year. Adding smoked chicken to the salad ensures that this dish contains sufficient protein, providing a nutritious and longer-lasting feeling of fullness. It is therefore a recipe worth trying for those who engage in (strength) training. This salad is quick and easy to make, and by adding your own ingredients, you can create the necessary variations. However, keep in mind that adding extra ingredients also means consuming extra calories! Read the ingredients and preparation method below.
The quantities indicated below are for a salad for 3-4 people. You will need:
Greek salad ingredients:
- Feta (50 grams)
- 2 tomatoes (150 each)
- 1 red onion (100 grams)
- 1 cucumber (250 grams)
- Smoked chicken (100 grams)
- 1 tsp oregano (5 grams)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (10 tbsp per spoon)
- Mixed salad mix (75 grams)
*If you are with fewer people, e.g. 2 instead of 4, halve the quantities indicated above.
Preparation method:
- Cut the cucumber in slices and the tomato in pieces.
- Cut the red onion into half rings (mince).
- You can cut the feta into cubes (squares) or place it on top of the salad.
- Cut the smoked chicken into pieces (brunoise).
- In a large bowl, mix the mixed salad greens with the cucumber, olive oil, tomato, red onion, oregano, feta, and smoked chicken.
Super quick to make, ready in 10 minutes, and also delicious as a side dish for dinner or a BBQ.
An ideal dish to eat for lunch as well!
