It should be clear that the measures taken to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus have had consequences for almost everyone. For a time, we were able to do little to nothing. That was necessary (and sometimes very annoying), but it did lead to us getting the virus under control reasonably quickly and thereby preventing worse outcomes.

The flexibility of HealthCoachPlus

In my industry, things were also quiet or partially quiet for a while. Fortunately, we were still able to guide and train members outdoors on a one-on-one basis, but during this period, a portion received online training and guidance through us. I am someone who looks at all the wonderful ideas and opportunities that have emerged during this extraordinary time. At my company, it is really about personal contact with members, and we were not online trainers at all, but in a very short time, we still managed to establish an online schedule allowing participation in a training session once or twice a day. We gave lectures and workshops online on important lifestyle topics, weekly challenges, and tasty power supply recipes and much more. If someone had asked me this before March 15, I would not have thought it possible that we could get this off the ground in no time, but we did it for our members anyway. When I look back on it, it makes me happy that we were able to do this, and judging by the many compliments and nice reactions from our members, it was perceived as valuable.

The media

Since March 15th, I have also noticed that the media has frequently discussed the importance of working on our health and vitality. I think we all pretty much knew this already, but Corona has made it even clearer that this is indeed very important. I therefore hope that even after all this is over, people will make time and money available to do something about it. After all, who wouldn't want to feel good in their own skin and have the fitness of a young god or goddess?

In addition to training and coaching members, we also have conversations about everyday matters with our members during our training sessions. What struck me about this is the fact that before March 15, many of our members often went out—such as having lunch out, going out for dinner, having a drink, going away for weekends, and regularly going on vacation—but were now unable to do so due to the imposed measures.

What they made clear to me was the following;

It surprises me how much I have left over per month now because I can no longer undertake the activities indicated above. Normally, I never stopped to think about how much I actually spend per month on these kinds of things.

My budgetary advice;

Go out 1 to 2 times less per week or every two weeks starting July 1st, and spend the money you save on your health and vitality!
