This festive breakfast dish is a real treat for yourself and others to start the day off right.

In addition, it is easy and good to prepare. So you don't need to be a master chef ;). Once you have prepared it, simply put it in the oven, take a nice shower, and then start on this delicious and festive breakfast. This is also a nice dish to make for yourself and/or the rest of the family during the upcoming Easter holidays.  With the preparation options below, you also have multiple possibilities to vary. Tip: Add more fresh fruit instead of the blueberries. Fruit has a positive effect on your health and is rich in vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber.

Ingredients for peanut butter breakfast tartlet for 1 person:

  • peanut butter (40 grams), or other nut paste 100%, without additives
  • 1 egg (50 grams)
  • 1 large tbsp (20 grams) Greek yogurt (I used Greek yogurt 10% with coconut). You could also use (50 grams) banana or applesauce for a lactose-free version
  • 1 tsp (5 grams) cinnamon (or more if you like it like I do)
  • 1/2 tsp (2/3 grams) baking powder
  • 2 tsp (10 / 15 grams) honey or maple syrup (or old-fashioned sugar)
  • blueberries (50 grams)

You could also add nuts, but then the calorie count goes up really massively. But if it fits into your diet plan, be my guest!

Preparation method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease a small mold.
  2. Mix the peanut butter, egg, yogurt, cinnamon, baking powder, and honey together until smooth. Taste the batter to see if it is sweet enough.
  3. Pour the batter into the mold. Optionally, top it with some chopped nuts.
  4. Now slide it into the oven for about 25 minutes. Do keep in mind that ovens are not the same, so keep an eye on the color. We don't want your cake to burn.
  5. Let the tart cool for a moment, then remove it from the mold. Arrange your berries or other fruit around it.

Bon appétit!
