Putting a good, varied meal on the table every day sounds logical. Coming up with one, however, isn't easy for everyone. And sometimes you might want to finish your dinner with a delicious dessert. We are happy to help you with that with the recipe below.
Ingredients (1 serving)
- 3 tablespoons (30 g) oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon (10 g) cold butter
- ½ or 1 small apple, such as a Goudreinet
- small handful (25 g) (frozen) blackberries
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) honey, maple syrup or sugar
- speculaas spices & cinnamon, to taste, for example 1 teaspoon (5 g) of each
Preparation method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Peel the apple and cut it into small pieces. Scoop this into a mixing bowl. Stir in the speculaas spices. Then add the blackberries and mix again.
Spoon the mixture into the oven dish.
Take a separate mixing bowl and add the remaining ingredients (oatmeal, butter, sweetener, and cinnamon). Knead this into a firm mixture or a ball. Then form a lid and place it over the apple and blackberry mixture.
Then bake it in the oven for about 15 minutes. Keep a close eye on it! Some ovens are much faster than others; your dessert may need to be served sooner or a little later.
Optional: serve with a spoonful of Greek yogurt or unsweetened whipped cream.
