The caretaker cabinet has scheduled the first easing of coronavirus measures for the sports sector for May 11. In the plan for the reopening of society, provided the coronavirus situation allows, there would be more scope for outdoor sports starting from that date.
However, strict conditions are still attached to this. Currently, everyone up to and including the age of 26 is allowed to train outdoors in groups at sports facilities; competitions are prohibited. From the age of 27, everyone may only exercise at a distance of 1.5 meters from each other in groups of no more than four people.
Indoor sports
As we have all (unfortunately) seen and heard, the coronavirus infection rates are still too high, and entirely in line with this, the cabinet announced no relaxations for indoor sports last Tuesday. But that is only for now! Let's hope they come with better news in three weeks and that sports halls, swimming pools, and fitness centers will then be allowed to reopen indoors, albeit with adjustments.
We are hopeful that indoor sports will also be allowed to resume in mid-May. As can be seen in the second part of the step-by-step plan presented to us by the cabinet, indoor sports will be possible again from May 11. That would be very welcome, as many indoor sports have been at a complete standstill since the beginning of December. As a result, the situation is now truly critical. If the figures allow, there may be a relaxation of the measures in force at that time starting May 26; naturally, this depends entirely on developments regarding the coronavirus.
Further relaxation of coronavirus measures
Based on what is currently known, further relaxations are planned for June 16 for both indoor and outdoor sports. It is not yet possible to indicate exactly what will be possible then. Let us all continue to do our best and brace ourselves for a little longer, hoping that the figures will allow for more relaxations than we can currently hope for.
From July 5th, I hope that our sports and fitness sector / personal training and group training can then resume somewhat normally. Like the government, we hope that indoor and outdoor sports will then be permitted for everyone again.
What if you want to exercise?
RWIJK GYM offers outdoor training in the form of personal training, duo training, or independent training. All of this takes place under the guidance of a certified and experienced personal trainer. We are permitted to offer these options in accordance with the current coronavirus measures. Because different guidelines may apply per municipality, we have also submitted this to the task team responsible for this in the municipality of Rijswijk and have received approval. .
So, if you live in the Rijswijk area and are looking for a place where you can start training “already,“ receiving the necessary personal guidance, also at your power supply and lifestyle? Then come and meet us!!
