The possibilities for sports in the fitness industry are being further expanded once again. Almost all restrictions will be lifted as of June 26. Only a few conditions still apply:
What does that look like at RWIJK GYM
Because we have a lot of space (350 m²) in our outdoor gym, it is possible to expand our options there. However, we will not be doing this, because, as we indicated in our previous newsletter, we are maintaining the current number of training options. This allows us to provide even more personal attention and time to our members during training sessions.
The guidelines now applying from NL Actief and the national government are no longer 30 or 50 people, but a maximum number for the available space, with the 1.5-meter distance as the starting point. This means that we can have a maximum of 12 members exercising at our indoor location at the same time. Because our motto is “Better safe than sorry,” we will continue to operate the indoor facility. group training continue to offer it in the currently provided manner. If, after one month, it appears that the COVID-19 figures are still going well, we will, as a final step, convert this training back to the old method of delivery, meaning rotating through the classes again. In addition, the SHIT training will then also return to the class schedule.
* The following applies to our bootcamp participants. Read here what the national government states regarding maintaining a 1.5-meter distance while exercising:
During sports activities, athletes are not required to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters from each other if this is necessary for the practice of the sport. The maximum group size also does not apply outdoors.
Reservations, registration, health check and face mask requirement
Completing a digital health check (triage questionnaire) when signing up for a training session remains in effect, but I think everyone has gotten used to that after more than a year. Registering members was standard practice for us for years, even before the coronavirus emerged, if you wanted to come and train. Finally, wearing a face mask is no longer mandatory in places where the 1.5-meter distance can be maintained. This means that everywhere at RWIJK GYM, we have used a 1.5-meter distance as the basis for determining the maximum number of members who can be present at our facility at the same time (indoors and outdoors).
