I came across this delicious savory lunch recipe at a valued colleague of mine from Baarn. After trying it myself, I was completely won over and just had to share it with you (my newsletter readers). Because this dish consists of protein for 26 %, it will keep you full for a long time (give you a feeling of fullness). This prevents you from wanting to snack or eat sweets again during the afternoon. Besides being quick to make, the wrap is a tasty savory meal that anyone can prepare. So you don't have to be a master chef to make it ;) 

For 2 people, you need the following ingredients:

Ingredients for the smoked meat wraps

2 whole wheat wraps (tortillas)
2 dessert spoons sour cream
2 large leaves of iceberg lettuce
100 grams of smoked meat (can also be made with chicken fillet, roast beef etc.)
8 cornichons (gherkins)
optionally some finely chopped chili pepper
Salt and pepper to taste

Wrap preparation method

  1. Spread the wraps with sour cream.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry.
  4. Distribute the leaves over the wraps and cover with the slices of smoked meat.
  5. Optionally, add a small amount of finely chopped chili pepper for a bit more kick.
  6. Cut the cornichons lengthwise and place them lengthwise on the wrap.
  7. Fold the wrap over the cornichons and roll them up.
  8. Cut wraps in half or into quarters.
