
This is how you set goals that actually work in a busy life. Many people want to lose weight. But with a busy life—work, family, social engagements—it is often not getting started that is difficult. It is about sticking with it.
Things go well for a few weeks: you eat more consciously, move more, and see results. Until life gets busy again and your old habits slowly return. Not because you lack discipline, but because many people focus only on the end goal: I want to lose 5 kilos or “fit into my old clothes again”That says little about how you get there and how you stick with it.
The strategy that actually works: LPG targets
Those who do maintain their results work with three types of goals simultaneously: learning objectives, behavioral goals and performance goalsTogether, they form a system that suits a busy life, focused on results, insight, structure, and behavior.
Performance goals – the result you want to achieve. For example: losing 4–6 kilos in 12 weeks or losing 5 cm from your waist.
Behavioral goals – the actions you repeat daily, such as exercising for 30 minutes 4 times a week, eating vegetables twice a day, or scheduling walking moments in your calendar.
Learning objectives – what you discover about yourself. For example, when you are more likely to snack, which meals give you energy, or what works during busy workdays.
By combining these three types of goals, you gain direction, a plan, and insight. This allows you to adjust course when life is busy and achieve lasting results.

- Behavioral goals: choose one for power supply and one for movement.
- Learning objective: What do you want to discover about yourself?
- Evaluation moment: one fixed day per week: what went well, what was difficult, what do you adjust?
